Cruise the Upper Thames on the barge ‘LOUISA’ from May 2011. Moored in a picturesque setting alongside the country park at Marpledurham House, ‘LOUISA’ is a 5 star Dutch barge completely refitted to the highest standards in 2010.
From May 2012 we are offering a fully inclusive luxury 2 night candlelit dinner cruise.
Friday afternoon boarding is between 3 and 4pm and after a glass of champagne and an informal safety talk with the skipper, we will relax and chat to you about your cruise.
Pre-dinner drinks are served in the salon or on deck (weather permitting) to watch the sun go down.
Your four course candlelight dinner is served in the dining area on board. Time is yours and dinner will be leisurely .
Saturday morning we start early with breakfast at 8am. We start to cruise between 9.30 and 10am.
We will cruise for 2 hours along the winding river toward Pangbourne where we stop for a light lunch.
After lunch you can take a siesta, cycle along the side of the river, fish, or just relax on deck with a book.
We will cruise back to Mapeldurham House in time to enjoy the late afternoon sun and get ready to enjoy another fantastic candlelight dinner.
Sunday morning breakfast will be served between 8 and 10am. Your time with us will not end until midday, leaving you plenty of time for a relaxing walk in the park.
