Your cruise includes:
Our full board cruise includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner each day whilst on board. Specially selected wines are provided with meals and there is a well appointed bar. Use of bicycles and fishing rods, and transfers between barge Louisa and the nominated meeting place.
Not included:
Airfares and transport to the nominated meeting place, personal holiday / travel insurance, use of the telephone, special excursions and activities not discussed at time of booking.
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm charter booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to the start date of the cruise. Should the booking be made less than 90 days prior to the charter, the full balance will be due upon confirmation of the cruise. Cruise rates are quoted in GBP. Payments can be accepted in US Dollars, Pounds or Euros, by VISA or bank transfer. Should the balance not be received 90 days before the charter, the booking is taken as cancelled and the deposit forfeited. You may cancel the charter at any time. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing and is valid upon receipt. If cancellation is received more than 90 days prior to the charter, then the deposit will be retained. Cancellations received within 90 days of the start of the cruise are subject to forfeiture of the entire cost. There will be no refunds made for days missed on the cruise.
Changes in the cruising route may occur due to unexpected circumstances, such as weather, lock closures and repairs, unusually high or low water levels and other circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to alter the cruise route and excursions accordingly. Any such changes cannot be accepted as a reason for cruise cancellation. Alternative and equally agreeable routes / excursions will be chosen. Should Louisa not be available for the dates reserved, or if the owners for circumstances beyond their control cancel the cruise, all sums received will be returned in full, and guest shall have no claim against the owners or barge. Sums will be prorated should only a portion of the trip be cancelled.
On board Louisa, we provide a safe and comfortable cruise. By booking a cruise aboard Louisa, guests recognise and accept the existence of hazards inherent in travelling aboard the barge; it’s vehicles and related excursions. These include, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping and falling or injuries resulting from collision. The barge and it’s owners assume no responsibility or liability for a guest’s illness, injury, death or loss or damage of personal items whilst aboard the barge, its vehicles (including bicycles) however caused. Insurance against personal accident, injury or illness, loss or damage to personal effects is not included in the cruise price and no responsibility can be accepted for such accidents and losses. We strongly recommend that guests insure themselves and their belongings. For the comfort and safety of all aboard Louisa, smoking is not allowed inside the barge or its vehicles.
The Business reserves the right to terminate a guest’s cruise should that person, in the opinion of the skipper, have placed the Vessel, the Vessel’s crew or any other guest in danger by ignoring safety features and procedures. This also applies to any person who exhibits offensive or disruptive behaviour.
The design of the barge makes her unsuitable for people with physical disabilities, there are steps leading down into the barge. All guests are required to be reasonably fit, agile, active and able. Please contact us if you are unsure of the suitability of facilities of accessibility.
